Test rigsWe design and manufacture “turnkey” test systems for the main industrial sectors. We have gained considerable expertice in the mechanical power transmission sector and in particular in the design and manufacture of test benches for gearboxes, gears, bearings, belts, chains, couplings and other mechanical components. We support the customer in all phases ranging from the definition of the technical requirements to the operation of the test system. Finally, we carry out a reconditioning activity of "old" test systems.

Michanical testingWe carry out testing activities (experimental test campaigns) both by using standard testing machines (hydraulic and resonance) and by using the test benches specially designed and manufactured.
We are able to carry out tests aimed at establishing the static and fatigue strenght of gears, bearings and other components or systems to the classic damage mechanisms such as: traction, bending, pitting, micropitting, scuffing.
We offer a complete service ranging from the definition of the test requirements to making the best use of test results.

We design and manufacture gripping and conditioning systems "fixtures" that allow to replicate the operating conditions of the component under test. Finally, we have equipment for chemical/metallographic analysis of materials (SEM microscope, optical microscope, 3D roughness testers, durometers).
Design and calculationWith our team of engineers, we carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic design and calculation activities.
We make use of the main national and international standards (ISO, DIN, AGMA, BS) and the most modern CAD modeling software such as Siemens NX and FEM structural analysis software such as ANSYS.
Finally, we have tools for rapid modeling andparticular analysis for the design and calculation of mechanical power transmissions: SMT MASTA®, ANSOL TRANSMISSION® 3D.

On site measurement and instrumentationWe are able to measure in operation: deformations / stresses (strain gauge measurements), temperatures, pressures, flow rates, forces and torques, vibrations (accelerometric measurements), noise (phonometric measurements) and several other physical quantities.
We carry out permanent or semi-permanent installations of sensors and devices for data logging and monitoring. |
DAQ&C SystemsWe design and manufacture data acquisition and control systems (DAQ & C). We offer complete hardware / software solutions with PC workstations, data acquisition systems, and on-board sensors. We mainly use National Instruments HW/SW products. We develop user friendly user interfaces (GUI) that allow a single operator to control the entire system. |

Failure analysisWe carry out f failure analysis consultancy activities. By using FEM modeling tools, microscope analyzes (SEM and optical), conducting dedicated mechanical tests and mainly our experience, we are able to identify the causes that led to the premature failure of a component or a mechanical system. We work alongside the customer by also proposing suitable solutions /design changes. |
Diagnostic HMSWe develop health monitoring systems (HMS). These are HW/SW systems that allow damage monitoring for mechanical transmission systems such as gearboxes and their components, such as bearings. The systems are highly customized. Accelerometers are mainly used and processing techniques and "unconventional" mathematical algorithms are applied.
